Justin Lam

Owner / Operations Manager / Primary Photographer

I’ve had a fascination for photography ever since I can remember. From my family photographs it seems that I have had a camera in my hands from a very young age. I would never have imagined that decades later I would be holding a camera and documenting precious memories for brides and grooms on some of the biggest days in their lives.

I started my real glimpse of the world of photography in high school where I spent countless hours in the darkroom. To be honest, I thought photography was a great way to skip out on regular school hours, but I found myself drawn to the craft. Photography turned out to be a class that I quite enjoyed and I often found myself in the darkroom after school exploring the world of black and white photography. Lots of things have changed in the world of photography, one thing that hasn’t changed is my commitment to making great photos at the moment I press that shutter. I don’t believe in having to correct things later and I still believe that Photoshop is meant to enhance your photo, not make your photo.

In my spare time, I enjoy good food, art, culture and socializing. Because of my love for life and the world around us, I connect with my clients on many different levels. When you see my photos you will see pure raw emotions because I connect with my clients and I let them connect with people around them.

I truly believe in maintaining a long term relationship with the people that I meet. I want to be your wedding photographer as well as your family photographer. When you walk through our door with your family I want you to feel at home. I love watching families grow and it gives me great joy and pleasure to be a part of your family’s history.

I look forward to meeting you and sharing with you my passion for photography and my excitement about being a part of your wedding day!

Michael Fox

Primary/Secondary Photographer

Having spent most of my career involved with events and working with people in a variety of manners, weddings to me are a perfect joining of all I love to do; put smiles on people’s faces, capture the moments, and be the behind-the-scenes person that brings a vision to life.

I studied in the Langara College Photography Certificate program part-time, starting in 2004, and continue to expose myself to all sorts of learning opportunities and experiences.

One does not need a fancy camera to make a great photo, but rather they need vision and the knowledge of how to take that vision and make it a reality; this is the challenge and it is what drives me to push myself as a photographer and artist.

I am also passionate about cooking, an aficionado of fine beer and wines from around the world, and love music of many genres. I am also a fan of sport and competition, but in particular my beloved Canucks. I also enjoy sharing my hobbies and interests with my wife, Anna, whose own passion for art and architecture inspires me to see things differently.

Michael Lee

Secondary Photographer

I have worked with Three Sixty Photography since 2007 and currently am a secondary photographer with the company. My creative eye and knack for seeking out locations that are usually uncommon are integral to shaping out our final product. I work collaboratively with the primary photographer to make sure no shots are missed on a wedding day.

I’ve been into photography since high school where I was the yearbook photographer during my last year. At Simon Fraser University (SFU) I often photographed the new student orientations if I wasn’t busy leading one. In the past three years I’ve been working as a wedding and portrait photographer in Vancouver part-time since I love it so much (it doesn’t feel like work). I always try to challenge myself to produce photos that are better than the last. People ask if I’ve ever taken a photography course and my answer is always no. I learned most of it from shooting and other experienced professionals I’ve had the pleasure working with.

Portrait photography and photojournalism are my two favorite with travel and vehicle photography a close 3rd. I love interacting with couples and kids, capturing their emotions. Trying to get them to evoke emotion is even harder and challenging which makes it that much more rewarding. Travel photography because I just love to travel; wish I had done more when I was much younger. And vehicle photography because it’s actually hard to take a good car photo.

I hold a BA in Communication and a minor in Publishing from SFU. I was also two courses away from receiving a minor in SFU’s Interactive Arts and Technology program but I had just returned from studying in Beijing, China for six months. I’ve worked as a Project Manager and Internet Marketing Specialist for a web development company in Vancouver for the past 1.5 years, as a Product Expert at Future Shop for a couple of years while in school, for Canon as an in-store marketing specialist, and for both federal and municipal.

Melanie Lam

Administrator/Assistant/Party Specialist

I’m a kid at heart. I love to experience new things and enjoy life. At first when you meet me I may seem timid and shy, but deep down I love to connect with people. My education is far off the beaten path of photography, I graduated from Bachelors at UBC in BioChemistry and followed that up with a Masters degree in Food Science. Currently, I’m exploring the opportunity to achieve my PhD. at Simon Fraser University. So why would someone like me be with a photography company you may ask? The answer is simple: I’m the real boss behind the scenes! Hahaha!
But kidding aside, I help out with some of the Administrative duties at the studio and also aid the staff when they need an extra hand.
Often times you will see me operate the photobooth as your “Party Specialist” or on the computer on a Same Day Edit. Justin calls me the “unsung hero” because I’m typically behind the scenes, but helps everything go smooth. If you see me at your event say hi and know that I’m really part of the team and not crashing your event :)

As time goes on, you may find me behind the camera one day. I have a real passion for photography and I am slowly learning the craft. But in the meantime, I’ll stick to what I know and that is all the behind the scene stuff! Look forward to meeting you soon!

Steve Tan

Director of Videography

I am a big gadget geek, a faux-tographer, and a Colorist wannabe. I take great delight in shooting video, but even more so editing it. I’m always hungry for new information, new connections, and always willing to be captivated by the next enthralling story.

I began sharing stories through video after the first time I launched iMovie on my MacBook. Armed then with a Vado HD, I set out to re-tell the amazing tales I’ve heard. Although I’ve graduated from my MacBook, iMovie, and Vado HD, I still set out looking to share that next great story through video. Join me in my adventures!

Roberto Fung

Senior Photo Editor

I love visual art in all it’s forms, from photography to sculpture to movies. After studying web/graphic design and animation at VFS I found the camera calling to me. How could I resist the siren song of an artform that combines my passion for visuals with the added bonus of fulfilling my perpetual wanderlust? Being behind the lens gives me the opportunity to capture the fleeting moments and wonderful places that pass us by in our everyday lives.

Outside of the office I like keeping up with my favorite anime series, catching movies, relaxing with friends, and occasionally dancing the night away. Oh and drinking lots of Coke.

Jordan Fok

Junior Photo Editor/Videographer

I have just completed the Langara Professional Photo Imaging Program specializing in commercial photography. Throughout my photography education I have won scholarships in photography and graphics. When I’m not editing wedding photos, I freelance at car photography on the side using rigs to achieve shots most people can’t.

When I’m not doing photography, I’m autocrossing my little red race car or mountain biking on the North Shore of Vancouver & Whistler. Mountain biking and snowboarding is what got me into photography and I still love doing it to this day. It’s a hard life having fun everyday but someone has to do it.

Denny Tang

Secondary Photographer

Denny is our Assistant Photographer. He has been shooting for two years and is passionate about learning Photography. Some of his favourite types of photos to look at are Fashion Photography and Photojournalism.

In addition to Denny’s interest in Photography, Denny also has a website where he publishes Photoshop tutorials and downloadable design resources. Everyday, thousands of Photographers and Designers visit his website to learn new ways of using Photoshop.

Outside the Digital Imaging world, Denny enjoys hiking, traveling, and hanging out with friends where he will usually be seen with his camera.

Allison Kwan

Assistant Photographer

My passion for photography started in highschool when I found a love for the tranquility of a dark room. I went on to graduate from UBC where I majored in visual arts with a focus on theatre set design and photography. Outside of school and work, I have an obsession with food as well as spend copious amount of time with my television. Through photography, I aim to capture perceptions that are often forgotten in this busy world. I look forward to helping you capture that moment.
